The Attractive Police of Ukraine
In the past, Ukrainian police force has a bad reputation of being violent and corrupt. In the country's attempt to swipe their records clean and start anew, they hired young and good-looking men and women who will happily pose in a selfie if you ask them.
This is actually part of the deal because the goal is to get as close to the people as possible and win their trust back and what better way to do that than taking a selfie with them?
Yarema Dukh, who works with Foreign Media Relations under President Petro Poroshenko, tweeted: “Now I’m following a policewoman on Instagram” and another twitter user tweeted: “The moment you really want to break some law” with the hashtag #KyivPolice
And it seems to be working despite a 2015 government poll result which showed only an increase of 3% of those who said they trust the police force but hey, 3% is still 3% and it must be from the halo effect these attractive young men and women are emanating.
